The Texas Rangers lost again yesterday. I'm not sure about those Rangers; they're up one day and down the next. My Folgers Black Silk coffee is ready.

06-30-2025 - According to KAUZ TV, the final report on the May 2024 Sheppard AFB ejection seat accident reveals that the instructor pilot had disconnected himself from the ejection seat and parachute as the plane taxied to the parking area. At some point, the instructor pilot accidentally activated his ejection seat. During the ejection, the pilot and seat separated, and the pilot died upon impact with the ground. In other KAUZ news, the Meals on Wheels program is in trouble due to federal funding cuts, and the Wichita Theater gets a national grant to launch a Veteran Improv Group. Sometimes the world seems upside down.

06-30-2025 - At 6:00 PM, the local Amateur (ham) Radio Skywarn® weather spotters issued an update from the National Weather Service. Storms have been springing to the north and to the southwest of Wichita Falls. Tune in to these updates at 146.940 MHz on your scanner radio.

06-30-2025 - The Local Group is on CB Radio Channel 23 as usual most evenings. These folks will be among those "in the know" if and when "it hits the fan." Are you radio-equipped?

06-30-2025 - Texoma's Home Page (KFDX) features a story about promotions, awards, and retirements at the Wichita Falls Police Department. The same things happen at the James V. Allred Unit (prison), but for some reason, they are not covered by our local news media.
