06-10-2024 - Good Morning! It's Monday, and I'm trying to decide if it will rain or if I need to water the yard myself. I think I'll water the yard because a 40% chance of rain might not help me or my yard today. I have no big radio plans for today. I'm not sure I'll try for any Parks on the Air® action. Instead, I need to devise an Amateur (ham) Radio activity that involves our local city parks. I'll need another cup of coffee before I begin that mental chore.

All licensed Amateur (ham) Radio operators are invited to check in. Scanner radio enthusiasts are also invited to listen in. At least this has been the case. I didn't work any Parks on the Air® stations yesterday or the day before. Maybe I'll make a few contacts today. I've got the scanner radio going this morning, and my Folgers Black Silk coffee is ready.

06-08-2024 - Good Morning! It's Saturday. I mowed the yard yesterday, and today my only chores are to go to the Farmers Market (8th & Austin location) to get a salsa refill from Joey, The Salsa Guy, and then out to Natural Grocers. I just had a flashback of former Wichita County Sheriff Bill Burrow. He resigned mid-term around 1985. If a reason was given, I don't remember what it was. I remember him only because he had his name on the door of all patrol vehicles. I thought it was a bit unusual. My coffee is ready, so I'll pour a cup and see who's who and what's what on Ham Radio, CB Radio, and the scanner radio.
