10-11-2024 - I heard someone sign off with a "44" instead of the usual "73" (Best Regards), or the sometimes-heard "72" from those running QRP or low-power. So, I had to go online to find the meaning of "44". I found that it's probably from the Worldwide Flora and Fauna folks who promote operating from the outdoors. The first "4" is for the four wind directions: North, East, South, and West, and the second four "4" is for the four elements: Earth, Water, Air and Fire.
