ABOUT THIS HOBBY RADIO JOURNAL

I POST SELECTED CONTENT on Hobby Radio communications. I've been a CB Radio Operator since 1964, and an Amateur (ham) Radio Operator since 1982. I've held an Amateur "Extra" license since 1983. I have an unused General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS) license. It is legal to intercept and divulge CB Radio & Amateur Radio communications. I'm also a scanner radio enthusiast. My modest station is below. I don't use amplifiers. in Hobby Radio lingo, "73" or "Seven Three" means Best Regards. The plural form is not historically correct..

My Hobby Radio Station

I received a Private Pilot Certificate in 1972. Just for fun, I went on to earn an Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot Certificate, Multi-Engine Rating, Flight Instructor Rating, and Instrument Instructor Rating. I also enjoyed jumping out of airplanes, even the "perfectly good" ones. That was all in another life. My college major, in that other life, was Political Science. I never discuss politics.

This simple, static, script-free website has one function: to put my text on your screen. Content Management Systems (CMS), such as WordPress, are bloated overkill for my needs. Because this site is static and script-free, comments are not possible. While I might mention websites, other than sites for which I am an affiliate, I don't link to them.

Cookies are not used. Personal information is not collected. All outbound links on this site are Amazon Affiliate Links. If you make a purchase through my links, I will earn a commission. You don't have to buy radios; any purchase helps!
